Samsung Galaxy S24 to be an AI powerhouse; Set to be smartest AI phone ever?

Samsung’s next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S24 could take on the Google Pixel 8 with its AI features. Launched on October 4, the Pixel 8 series is an artificial intelligence (AI) powerhouse. The Tensor G3 SoC under the hood supports a vast range of AI features such as Call Assistant, Photo Unblur, Best Take, Magic Editor, Audio Magic Eraser, and more. All these features are a trademark of Pixel devices and promise to take your smartphone experience to the next level. However, if reports are to be believed, Samsung could look to take on the Pixel 8 with AI capabilities in its next flagship device, the Galaxy S24.

AI features in Samsung Galaxy S24

According to a report by SamMobile, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series could feature generative AI capabilities as Samsung aims to make it the “smartest AI phones ever”. The lineup is expected to feature 3 smartphones – the Galaxy S24, the Galaxy S24 Plus, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The smartphones could adopt features from popular AI chatbots such as Google Bard and ChatGPT, including a feature that will let users create content based on keywords.

Another feature tipped to arrive with the S24 devices is text-to-image generative AI which could be powered by the Exynos 2400 SoC announced at the System LSI Tech Day 2023 earlier this month. The report also claims that the Galaxy S24 will be more powerful than the Pixel devices courtesy of the Qualcomm Snapdragon and proprietary Exynos chipsets under the hood.

Not sure which
mobile to buy?

While no information has been revealed, it is possible that Bixby, Samsung’s own voice assistant could benefit from this AI adoption. According to a 9to5Google report, the Samsung Galaxy S24 will be the only device alongside the Pixel 8 series to support AI-enhanced voice assistant at launch.

When could the Samsung Galaxy S24 launch?

There has been no information regarding the possible launch date of the Galaxy S24 series. However, if previous trends are anything to go by, then Samsung’s next flagship smartphone could debut in February. In terms of specs, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will reportedly feature a 6.78-inch display with a resolution of 3120×1440 pixels.

The S24 Ultra was tipped to feature a new “vertical frame design” with flatter edges, which would also mean more prominent bezels.
